Grand Theft Auto V Playthrough

It's here, it's finally here!

GTA V released yesterday to much fanfare, hooplah and sick days around the world. Here at The Gadget Addicts, we've been giving it some hands on love, starting at about 1am on Tuesday the 17th, we're that committed to bringing you great content as soon as we physically can.

So here it is, our playlist as we progress through the first few hours of the game. It's very brilliant and we really do recommend you pick up a copy. A full review will be incoming in the next few days. For now though, see how not to play GTA V

The Last Of Us Playthrough

Good morning all. It's 2:20am and I have just completed my first hour of GTAV.

While I'm in the process of editing and uploading it, I thought I should let all of you who aren't aware know that I finished my playthrough of The Last Of Us.

For those of you who missed what I was doing, The Last Of Us is one of my favourite games of this generation. It's a spectacular game full of action, violence and some of the most emotionally charged cut scenes I've ever seen in a game.

Over the space of 13 hours and 18 parts, I've played through the game in it's entirety for you, showing you as much as I know about it, tactics, solutions and routes through the game.

I've even gone as far as creating a handy playlist for you all to view the lot in one, 13 hour shot (should you want to). Check it out here and please subscribe to my YouTube channel if you like what I'm doing

Keep an eye on my YouTube channel for Grand Theft Auto 5 content coming as soon as my internet connection will allow

Sony Announce New PS Vita

Sony has announced a redesign of the PS Vita at their pre-Tokyo Game Show conference.

The redesigned unit will be 20% thinner and 15% lighter than the current Vita model, which is fairly impressive as it is already pretty thin and very light.

Surprisingly, it also has some built in storage, although it's only 1gb, it's still better than nothing.

One of the caveats to this cheaper model though, is that the gorgeous 5 inch OLED touchscreen on the current Vita has been replaced with a 5 inch LCD model. Seeing as the quality of the screen is one of the selling points of the Vita, this could be a big disappointment. On the flip side, with a less power hungry screen, the battery life will be boosted by around about an hour.

As well as the Vita refresh, Sony also announced the Vita TV. This unusual little unit allows you to play PS Vita games on your TV using a Dual Shock 3 (and eventually, Dual Shock 4) controller.

The diminutive little unit is only 6cm by 10cm, about the size of a deck of cards. It has a slot for Vita game cards as well as Vita memory cards. The unit will also allow for remote play from PS3/PS4 and will allow you to use streaming services (Hulu has already been mentioned) straight to your TV.

The refreshed PS Vita will be released in Japan for 18,980 Yen ($190) on October 10th. The PS Vita TV will be released on November 14th for 9,480 Yen ($95). A special edition of the Vita TV, which comes bundled with a Dual Shock 3 and an 8gb Vita memory card will be available on the same day for 14,980 Yen ($150).

No US or Europe release dates or pricing has been released yet for either model but it's a good bet that they'll eventually get a western release

Now, Microsoft still haven't revealed the specific release date for the Xbox One, all we know us that it's going to be November. They have, however, released their launch line up, which closely resembles the PS4 list, with a few differences:

As you can see, there's quite a few cross platform titles, as is the case at each new generation release.

We also know then prices of the consoles, with the Xbox One retailing for £429.99 in the UK whereas the PS4 will undercut that by retailing at £349.99.

It's a good year for gaming.

The Last Of Us Play Through

So here it is ladies and gentlemen, my game capture device is up and running and I can start bringing you some Lets Play videos.

Firstly, I'm going to do a complete run through of Naughty Dog's excellent The Last Of Us. Now, I love this game, it's potentially one of the best games of this generation, so it seemed fitting to start with it.

Embedded below is the first part. I'll be playing in chunks of half an hour to an hour, so I expect this to take about 20 episodes to complete. While I'm experimenting with this play through, I'll be trying different methods of commentary, from post play to live and probably a mix of the two.

If you like this, please subscribe to my YouTube Channel so you never miss an episode. I'll be uploading a couple of episodes a week, so keep checking back.

Enjoy
